Mohangad (Durgadi Fort)
Varandha Ghat, Pune
If you are looking for a fort with huge views in Varandha Ghat, Mohangad is a great choice. Also called Durgadi Fort or Janani hill after its goddess temple, it stands above Shirgaon in Pune district with a 1 to 2 hour ascent. From the top you can spot Rajgad, Torna, Raigad and Pratapgad on a clear day, which is a rare lineup from one summit. Mansion ruins and three cisterns add to the exploring. A rewarding pick on a Bhor-side trip.
