Mandangad Fort
Mandangad, Ratnagiri
If you are looking for a Konkan fort with river views, Mandangad is a great choice. This twin-summit hill fort in Ratnagiri district guarded the Savitri River trade route, and the ascent takes only about 20 minutes. Surviving bastions and lower fortifications lead up to a rebuilt Ganesh temple and water tank, with wide views toward Raigad and the Varandha Pass.
